Amazon is holding part of your payout. You planned around that money.

Short answer

Amazon can move part of a settlement into reserve without warning, for example after a policy review or a refund spike, or under its delivery-date rule. Notifcentral tracks what is being held, alerts you when the total crosses your dollar threshold, and shows an estimated release timeline. None of the six tools on our comparison page offers this alert.

How Notifcentral detects it

Data source

Settlement and financial event reconciliation

How often

Every 6 hours

Notifcentral reads your financial events, separates deferred transactions from settled ones, and totals what Amazon is currently holding. The threshold is a dollar amount. It starts at roughly half your average weekly payout over the last 8 weeks, and you can change it in Settings.

What the alert looks like

These are the notification strings the app sends. The wording is exact; the values are examples.

Notifcentral

Funds are being held

2140.00 USD is deferred across 8 transaction(s). Release dates are estimates - Amazon does not guarantee DD+7.

What it costs to find out late

You find out about a hold when the money does not arrive.

You planned a supplier payment, a PPC budget or a restock around that deposit. Amazon can defer it into reserve without telling you.

Amazon does not guarantee DD+7 release dates.

Under the delivery-date-plus-seven policy, Amazon does not promise to release funds on the seventh day, so Notifcentral labels its release timeline as an estimate.

A held payout can lead to a stockout.

If a hold means you cannot pay for a restock, the SKU can run out of stock, lose the Buy Box and drop in ranking. The held funds alert tells you about the hold before that happens.

What to do when it fires

  1. Set the threshold to an amount that matters to you

The held-funds threshold is a dollar amount in Settings. Set it to the held amount that would make you delay a restock or a supplier payment.

  2. Check the cash flow screen for the release estimate

The app shows what is held now, across how many transactions, and estimated release buckets, marked as estimates.

  3. Look for the cause in account health

Reserves often follow a performance or policy event. If a hold appears without an obvious reason, the account health screen is the next place to look.

Questions about held funds alerts

By default it is roughly half your average weekly payout over the last 8 weeks. You can change it to any dollar amount in Settings, and the alert fires when the deferred total crosses it.

No, and neither can anyone else. Amazon does not guarantee the DD+7 timeline. The app shows estimated release buckets and labels them as estimates rather than inventing a date.
